“I take multiple cultures and multiple periods and I blend them into one person’s personality,” Mark says. “Today, with our connection to the world, nobody is monogamous to a culture anymore. We’re all a blend.” Mark’s inventive approach mingles traditional Asian aesthetic with simple American Craftsmanship, contemporary innovation with historical integrity, architectural artifacts with 21st century technology.

He finds inspiration near and far, integrating local resources into his designs and traveling the world in search of one-of-a-kind items. If the pieces he envisions aren’t available, he draws up designs and has artisans make them, giving each project its own distinctive character. Mark applies his global vision with an intensely individual focus as he redefines interior and exterior space.
